Residents of Highland Woods are fortunate to have several great community programs. We love to see residents pull together to develop and grow the relationships and connections among Highland Woods residents and beyond. One awesome example of this is the Highland Woods High Tides, a swim team for Highland Wood residents who are ages 6 to 16.
The HighTides is a nonprofit organization that is run by volunteers. They are part of the Fox Valley Swim League and compete all summer long throughout the Fox Valley Area.
Their goals include:
- Enhancing personal growth, self-esteem and confidence in the water but even more importantly out of the water.
- Providing children the opportunity to learn more about physical fitness and the importance of taking care of their bodies.
- Emphasizing fun, good sportsmanship, and health competition along with the importance of community commitment and support.
- Most importantly, providing a safe environment for children to experience belonging to a team, as well as learning how to strive for and achieve both personal and team goals.
We were so happy and proud to sponsor the Highland Woods High Tides this year. Sponsorship costs go toward new equipment/apparel, scholarships for swimmers who can’t afford to swim, and lifeguard expenses. We love supporting such a great program!
